Suitcase

A moment of love and care across two continents: the story of how my friend's grandmother packed suitcases full of ingredients in Cameroon to send to her daughter and grandchildren in Germany, so that they can stay in touch with their culture. my friend remembers how her grandmother would pack dehydrated yams, leaves for stews, spices, dried cray fish, coconut oil, palm oil and other ingredients that were scarce or hard to find in Germany. she explained how her grandmother in Cameroon would elaborately label and wrap all of the ingredients that they would find once the suitcase was opened.
